Skipping assets

Labelers can skip an asset they can't label right away, for example when the asset is unclear or when they're waiting for an answer to a question. A skipped asset leaves the current workflow step and gets the Skipped status. It stays in the project and can be unskipped at any time.

Skipping an asset

In the labeling interface, click Skip in the top bar, or press Cmd / Ctrl + Shift + P.

Skipping applies to the current step for every member working on the asset.

Assets that can't be skipped

The following assets can't be skipped:

• Assets selected for consensus: skipping them would discard the labels other members have already submitted. This restriction applies per asset: in a project that uses consensus on part of its assets, the other assets can still be skipped. In such projects, a warning appears under the skip setting.
• Assets with the Redo status: assets sent back for correction must be corrected before they can move on.

On these assets, the Skip button is disabled. Hover over it to see why.

Unskipping an asset

To unskip an asset, open it from the labeling interface or the Explore view and click Unskip.

The asset is reassigned to the member who skipped it, so they can resume their work. If that member no longer has access to the project, the asset goes back to the queue unassigned.

Unskipping is available on all skipped assets, including assets selected for consensus.

Finding skipped assets

• In the Queue, filter assets on the Skipped status.
• On the Analytics page, the Overview tab shows the number of skipped assets.
