Changelog (26.1.23)
New
New Organization Role: Project Creator
We are introducing a new “Project Creator” role at the organization level.
Previously, all members with the USER role could create projects on behalf of their organization. With this update, project creation is now restricted to users explicitly granted the Project Creator role.
⚠️ Important Existing users with the USER role will no longer be able to create projects by default.
If some users still need this permission, you can grant it from the Organization Members page by promoting them to Project Creator.
Labeling Settings – Free Asset Selection with Assigned Assets Only
We’ve enhanced the Free Asset Selection option.
When enabling Free asset selection (allowing labelers to pick assets in any order), you can now restrict access to assigned assets only.
With this new option enabled:
- Labelers can freely select assets
- But only among the assets they are assigned to
This gives you more flexibility while maintaining assignment control and workload distribution.
Video support: Variable Frame Rate
Videos with variable frame rates (VFR) are now supported. Frame management has been improved to prevent timestamp/frame discrepancies.
Change
- Multi-object selection shortcut updated (Image/Video projects): use ALT/Option + Shift + Drag (instead of ALT/Option + Drag) to avoid OS conflicts.
- PDF projects: the same multi-object drag shortcut is now supported for BBox selection.
- Ontology: you can now configure up to 8 levels of subjob nesting.
- Audit Trail (Early Access): events now display the Asset External ID, clickable to open the asset in the Explore Interface.
- Export format: introduced a new option “Latest labels from the last workflow step (for each asset)” in the Export UI, exporting all latest labels from the last completed workflow step (e.g., multiple labels in consensus mode).
This option is now selected by default and will replace the current “latest label” option (to be deprecated). In the export schema,
latestLabelsreplaceslatestLabel— please update your scripts if needed.
