New

  • Geospatial – Native support for local projections

Until now, Kili only supported the global projections EPSG:4326 and EPSG:3857. When importing an image with a different projection, it was automatically reprojected to EPSG:3857 to be displayed in the Geospatial interface.

With this release, Kili now natively supports the original projections of uploaded images and WMS layers, without reprojection. This ensures greater spatial accuracy and prevents potential discrepancies introduced by projection transformations.

You can switch between available EPSG codes directly from the Settings menu.

Note: To display a base map, you must select EPSG:3857, as base maps are only available in this projection.

Important: If you previously annotated images using EPSG:3857, you may notice changes in how annotations are rendered because Kili now defaults to the image’s original projection. To preserve the original rendering of your annotations, you can switch back to EPSG:3857.

  • Productivity - Multi-select box tool on Image projects

You can now select multiple annotations at once using the new Selection Box tool.

To quickly select a group of annotations, hold ALT (Option on Mac) and draw a bounding box around them. All annotations within the selection area will be selected, allowing you to move, copy, or delete them in bulk. This feature streamlines annotation workflows and saves time when working with multiple objects.

  • Video labeling - Line tool now available

The Line tool is now supported in video projects. You can enable it from your project’s Interface Settings.This allows you to create and annotate line-based objects directly within video frames.

Note: Interpolation and smart tracking are currently not supported for the Line tool.

  • SDK – Manage reviewers at the project step level

With the latest SDK version, you can now easily add or remove reviewers from a specific project step using the kili.add_reviewers_to_step and kili.remove_reviewers_from_step methods.

  • Improved zooming and navigation performance in Geospatial projects
  • Fixed an issue in LLM projects where conversation round order was not always preserved during import
